Supporting Healthy Aging for Kūpuna

For generations, the YMCA of Honolulu has supported the health and well-being of Hawaiʻi’s kūpuna through programs that promote active living, social connection, and lifelong wellness. Today, the YMCA is one of the largest providers of senior-focused services on Oʻahu, offering a wide range of programs designed to help older adults remain active, independent, and connected to their communities.

As Hawaiʻi’s population ages, many kūpuna face challenges related to chronic disease, fall prevention, food insecurity, social isolation, and transportation barriers. The YMCA helps address these needs through affordable access to wellness programs, evidence-based fitness classes, nutritious meals, social connection, and digital wellness opportunities that support healthy aging.
