Facility Updates Due To Weather

Update #1: Thursday, April 9, 2026, 6:30 pm

Severe Weather Closure – All YMCA of Honolulu Branches & Programs Closed Friday, April 10, 2026

All YMCA of Honolulu branches and programs will be closed on Friday, April 10, due to severe weather conditions. The only exception is the Central YMCA short-term accommodations, which will continue to operate.

This includes YMCA A+ Afterschool, teen and kūpuna programs, preschools and early learning centers, and swim lessons.

The closure aligns with tonight’s announcements from the State of Hawaiʻi, which has closed all O’ahu public schools, and the City and County of Honolulu, which has closed non-essential city offices. Mayor Rick Blangiardi is asking residents “to stay home if they can, avoid unnecessary travel, and to make preparations now in case conditions worsen overnight.”

Safety is our priority.

Residents are encouraged to closely monitor official advisories and weather updates. Oʻahu residents may receive emergency notifications through HNL Alert at hnlalert.gov or by texting HNLALERT to 888-777.

Please continue to check our website for updates on our YMCA locations, facilities, and programs.

Mahalo, and please stay safe.
