Summer day and specialty camps is a place for kids to thrive. Going beyond typical summer day care, specially crafted activities promote exploration, friendship, leadership, and learning that result in increased confidence, well-being, and connection to the community.
Spots Still Open for for 2026 Summer Day & Specialty Camps!
June 1 - July 31, 2026
- Ages: For kids who will complete Kindergarten through Grade 5 by June 2026 (for teens who will complete Grades 6-11 by June 2026, see Summer Programs for Teens)
- Options that include overnight camp at Camp Erdman are for kids who are in or completed grades 1-5
- Days and times: 7am to 5:30pm (8:30am to 4:30pm for Camp Erdman Day Camp), Monday through Friday
- YMCA locations: Camp Erdman Y, Kaimuki-Waialae Y, Kalihi Y, Leeward Y, Mililani-West Oahu Y, Nu‘uanu Y, and Windward Y
- What’s included: Playing outdoors, arts & crafts, weekly field trips, and learning about Hawaiiana, health, nutrition, mental health resilience, and more. Swim time in our heated pools is included at locations with pools (Kalihi Y campers will be transported twice a week to Windward Y for pool time).
- Lunch: Day campers at our Kalihi, Leeward, and Nu‘uanu YMCA Summer Day Camp sites, which have been designated as USDA lunch program sites, will receive free lunches. However, they must fill out this USDA form and turn it in by the first day of camp.
- Campers at Camp Erdman and Mililani YMCA will also receive a free lunch.
- For all other Summer Day Camp sites, campers must bring their own daily lunch.
- Community sites: Nu‘uanu Congregational Church, St. Patrick School
- What’s included: Time to play, plus fun and enriching experiences that cover Hawaiiana, fitness, nutrition, and academics.
- Lunch: Campers must bring their own daily lunch.
Financial aid is available for individuals earning less annually than $65,000 per household and families of four earning less than $110,000 per household. Use our calculator to determine your potential amount.
Interested in registering for a multi-week package? A $50 deposit holds your Day Camp spot with the full balance due two weeks before the start of your program.

Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your registration for Summer Day Camp or Camp Erdman programs, submit an online request or contact our Service Center at 808-678-4296.
Requests for a program cancellation on or before April 30, 2026, will receive a full refund, including your deposit. Starting May 1, 2026, there will be a $50 service fee per child and transaction applied to your family’s account as a credit which can be used for any YMCA programs and services. The remainder of the balance will be refunded. Refund requests will only be processed for program weeks that have not yet started.

Weekly Parent Surveys: Each week of Summer Day Camp is different—with new themes, activities, and field trips—so we ask families to complete a short survey at the end of each camp week. Your feedback helps us improve and adjust as the summer unfolds.

Specialty and enrichment camps offer unique opportunities for kids to explore their interests and passions. These programs can be registered as standalone options or added to your child’s Summer Day Camp experience and we'll escort your child to and from their specialty camp, ensuring a seamless experience.
3D Printing Masterclass: Imagination to Creation
Create it. Craft it. Print it. Discover the innovative step-by-step journey to master the future of production
- Ages: 9–13 years
- Days and times: June 5 - July 31 (Fridays), 2pm – 4pm
- What’s included:
- Hands-on experience with 3D printing concepts and processes
- Safe operation of 3D printers
- Basic design using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
- Exploration of real-world applications of additive manufacturing

Lab Legends - Summer Science
Spark curiosity and inspire young minds through fun experiments, hands-on activities, and interactive lessons. Kids will explore the wonders of the world around them while building confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of discovery. Perfect for curious learners ready to think, question, and explore!

Summer Tennis
Tennis is a fun and engaging sport that’s easy for kids to learn and exciting to grow with. It offers a great full-body workout through running, jumping, and swinging, helping build strength, agility, and coordination in an active, supportive environment.

Summer Basketball Clinic
Interested in playing basketball this summer? Join us for a fun and engaging learning experience designed to help participants build skills, confidence, and a love for the game. Most of the program focuses on skill development and fundamentals, with the final weeks of summer featuring games and friendly challenges among participants to put their skills into action.

Esports
Level up your game! Esports offers students in grades 4 and up a fun, team-based gaming experience where they can build friendships, sharpen strategic thinking, and develop valuable teamwork and communication skills in a positive environment.

| Session 1 | June 1-5: Water 'Bout It? Keiki will make waves as they explore the science of water through fun hands-on experiments, creative projects, and active games. They’ll investigate how water moves, changes, and supports life while participating in activities that spark curiosity, building problem-solving skills, teamwork, and a deeper understanding of the world around them. |
| Session 2 | June 8-12: Going Viral Be the headline of your own story! Keiki will dive into creative media, trends, and self-expression through group challenges and collaborative projects. As they create and share ideas, they’ll strengthen communication skills, build confidence, and learn how to express themselves in positive and engaging new ways. |
| Session 3 | June 15-19: We Shoot, We Score! Participants will stay active with a mix of sports, skill-building drills, and friendly competitions. During the week they will practice coordination and learn new games, develop teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship — all while gaining confidence as they challenge themselves and support their peers. |
| Session 4 | June 22-26: Reuse, Reduce, Recycle! Turn trash into treasure and explore how small actions can make a big impact. Through hands-on projects and creative reuse activities, keiki will discover practical ways to care for the environment, build awareness, responsibility, and pride in contributing to a healthier community. |
| Session 5 | June 29 - July 2: Mess Express All aboard for messy fun as keiki will jump into hands-on art, sensory play, and outdoor exploration where creativity takes the lead. By experimenting freely and embracing the process, they’ll grow their imagination, confidence, and willingness to try new things — learning that discovery often comes through play. | Session 6 | July 6-10: Building, Creating, and Discovering Together! Small hands, big plans! Keiki will take on building challenges and design projects that introduce science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) concepts in a fun, approachable way. As they test ideas and work together, they’ll sharpen critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation skills while seeing their ideas come to life. |
| Session 7 | July 13-17: The Great Career Adventure Step into the future as participants explore a variety of careers through role-playing and interactive activities. By trying out different roles, they’ll build communication and problem-solving skills all while gaining confidence and a better understanding of their own interests and strengths. |
| Session 8 | July 20-24: Ready, Set, Cook! Whisking up fun in the kitchen, keiki will prepare simple, kid-friendly recipes while learning basic cooking techniques. As they follow steps and create their own dishes, they’ll develop independence, responsibility, and practical life skills they can use beyond camp. |
| Session 9 | July 27-31: Party in Hawai'i Nei Feel the aloha spirit as keiki take part in a week of Hawaiian-inspired music, movement, games, and crafts. Through these experiences, they’ll connect with local culture, build appreciation for traditions, and strengthen their sense of community while celebrating island values. |
Note: There is no Day Camp on July 3rd.
The YMCA of Honolulu is participating in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability. There will be no discrimination during the meal service. Meals will be provided at the following sites:
- Kalihi YMCA (June 1- July 31 - No program on June 11) - Serving time: 11:30am
- Leeward YMCA (June 1- July 31 - No program on June 11) - Serving time: 12:00pm
- Nu'uanu YMCA (June 1 - July 31 - No program on June 11) - Serving time: 11:30am
- Pohakea Elementary School (June 9 -July 2 - No program on June 11) Serving time 11:45am
- PACT-KPT Summer (06/8 - 07/24 – No program on June 11, June 19 and July 3) - Serving time: 12:00pm.
*Location schedules are subject to change. Hot lunch meals will be provided at the following YMCA summer program sites, Monday through Friday, during the dates and times noted, except when the program is closed in observance of State and Federal Holidays, including Kamehameha Day and the Fourth of July.

Mililani YMCA
À La Carte Swim Lessons (9-Week Day Camp Participants Only): Participants will be safely escorted to and from their assigned camp groups. Swimmers will be evaluated on the first day and placed into groups based on similar swim ability, from beginner to advanced.
