Your YMCA App Is Getting an Upgrade

You may know YMCA360 as the app with 2,000 plus on-demand and live-stream classes and programs.

It just got bigger.

As of Friday, November 28, YMCA360 will be our all-in-one mobile app, replacing our current mobile app, MotionVibe, so everything you rely on is in one place.

You will be able to view our local in-person and live-stream class schedules, make reservations, check in digitally at your branch, and more, all via our YMCA360 app.

What You Can Do With the YMCA360 App

  • Check in with a digital membership barcode
  • Access on-demand and livestream classes
  • Join challenges
  • View local group exercise schedules
  • Reserve in-person classes directly in the app
    • Reservations will open 2 days and 1 hour (49 hours) before the class start time.

Transition Details

  • MotionVibe will be discontinued on December 1.
    Class reservations through MotionVibe will close after Thursday, November 27.
  • YMCA360 reservations open Friday, November 28 at 5 a.m.
    You’ll use YMCA360 for all class bookings going forward.
  • If you already use YMCA360 for virtual workouts, there's no extra setup needed. New features will be available on November 28.

WHAT IS YMCA360?

YMCA360 is our YMCA’s mobile app that brings together everything you need in one place. You can check in with a digital membership barcode, view schedules and reserve our local in-person and live-stream classes, join challenges, stay connected to your Y, and more!

In addition, YMCA360 gives you access to more than 2,000 on-demand and live-stream classes and programs from YMCA instructors across the nation, with new content added every week. There is something for every age and interest, including fitness and wellness classes, nutrition programs, personal training, sports and skills training, kids' activities, art classes, and more. All content is available anytime on your mobile device, computer, or TV.

HOW DO I ACCESS YMCA360?

YMCA360 can be accessed from your desktop, laptop, mobile, or TV.

  • Web – www.ymca360.org
  • Mobile – iOS and Android
    • Just search for YMCA360 in the app store, download the appropriate app.
  • TV – Android, AppleTV, ROKU
    • Just search for YMCA360 in either the AppleTV store or using Roku search to download the appropriate app.
HOW DO I LOG IN TO YMCA360?
  1. Navigate to the YMCA360 URL or open the app on your device.
  2. Click the login button.
  3. Enter the zip code associated with your YMCA of Honolulu membership and click continue.
  4. Select your home YMCA location.
  5. Enter the email address associated with your YMCA of Honolulu membership.
  6. A 6-digit verification code will be emailed to you. Enter the code and click continue.
  7. Begin using YMCA360.
WHAT DO I DO IF YMCA360 IS UNABLE TO AUTHENTICATE ME AS A MEMBER AND WON’T LET ME IN?

Chances are that the YMCA does not have the email address currently on file that you are attempting to use for signing into YMCA360. Please contact your YMCA to update your email address. You can visit your local YMCA Welcome Center during business hours or contact the Service Center at (808) 678-4296, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

YMCA360 IS ASKING ME FOR A SIX-DIGIT CODE. WHAT IS THAT?

The first time you log-in on a new device, YMCA360 is going to authenticate your access to the email address that you used to sign-in. This is done by sending an email with a six-digit code to that email address. Please check your email to find the code that you can enter.

WILL I HAVE TO ENTER THAT SIX-DIGIT CODE EVERY TIME I LOG ON?

No, you will only be asked for that code if you log on using a different device or following periodic app updates.

CAN I USE THE APP TO CHECK IN AT THE WELCOME CENTER?

YES! Open the app on your phone. Touch the Y at the bottom of the screen. Next, select Check-In, and you’ll see your barcode. 

HOW DO I RESERVE MY SPOT IN A CLASS?

Many classes are in high demand or may be limited by equipment or space. We highly recommend making a reservation to secure your spot in class. Walk-ins are welcome if the class is not full or waitlisted- we request that you let a welcome center staff know which class you plan to attend so we can add you to the class list.

Class reservations open 2 days and 1 hour (49 hours) before the actual class start time.

  1. Touch the Y at the bottom of the app.
  2. Touch “Schedules” and select the category of schedule you want to see.
  3. The app displays today’s class schedule.
  4. If you wish to see schedules for tomorrow or the next day, touch the calendar ribbon at the top of your screen and select the day’s schedule you’d like to see.
  5. Browse the schedule and click on your preferred class.
  6. Touch the button that says “Reserve.”
  7. Your reservation is complete.
  8. You may check in for your class up to 2 hours in advance.
  9. We recommend arriving to your class early, at least 15 minutes prior to the start of your class. Please check in with the welcome center at least 10 minutes prior to the start of your class and verbally let them know which fitness class you are attending so they can check you into your class reservation.
  10. The waitlist activates when under 10 minutes are left before the start of class. Any registered participant who has not checked in for their class with the welcome center at least 10 minutes prior to the start of class may lose their spot to someone on the waitlist.
  11. If you are on the waitlist, please let the welcome center know what class you are waitlisted for when you arrive. If space opens up in class, staff will go by the order of the waitlist AND who is currently on site. Staff will let you know if a space opens up and you are able to participate.
HOW DOES THE WAITLIST WORK?
  • If the class is full, you can still register by selecting ‘Join the Waitlist’ after selecting a specific class from the schedule.
  • You will have the option to unregister by selecting ‘Leave the Waitlist’ at any time.
  • YMCA360 notes on your waitlist reservation how many people are ahead of you.
  • If someone cancels and a spot opens up in the class, if you are the next person on the waitlist, you will be automatically given a reservation. YMCA360 will update and your status will change from ‘You are on the waitlist’, to  ‘You have a reservation.’
  • The waitlist activates 10 minutes prior to the start of class.
    • Registered participants who have not checked into their class with the welcome center prior to 10 minutes before class starts may lose their spot to someone on the waitlist.
    • Members on the waitlist who are physically present will be checked in, in the order of the waitlist, until the class is full.
    • After all participants on the waitlist who are physically present are checked-in, any previously registered participants who arrived after the waitlist opened will be checked into class, if space is still available. 
HOW DO I CANCEL MY CLASS RESERVATION?
  • Select the ‘Cancel’ button on any class you are registered for. A second pop-up box will ask if you are sure. Click ‘Ok’ to cancel. 
  • If you cannot attend class, please cancel your reservation so that space is available for others or the next person on the waitlist can participate. 
HOW DO I REGISTER FOR A LOCAL LIVE-STREAM CLASS?

Classes with a live-stream option will be indicated on the group fitness schedule with the physical location + ‘live stream.’ Click on the class you would like to live-stream, then click on the live-stream link in the description. You will be directed to Zoom where you can register for the live stream class. 

HOW DO I MAKE A CHILDWATCH RESERVATION?

Childwatch reservations open 80 hours in advance and can be made for up to 2 hours per day, up to 6 hours per week, for each child on the family membership. 

You can access childwatch reservations by clicking on the ‘MyY’ Y logo icon on the YMCA360 app or in your YMCA360 account in a web browser. 

  1. Select ‘Quick Links,’ then click on ‘Childcare.’
  2. Click on ‘Childwatch Reservations’ and scroll through the options to find the location you would like to book.
  3. Follow the remaining prompts to complete the childwatch reservation. 
HOW DO I JOIN A CHALLENGE?

Challenge information can be found by clicking the ‘Challenge’ tile in the YMCA360 app or at YMCA360.org, when logged into your account. 

  1. To join a challenge, click the ‘Join Challenge’ button and it will enroll you.
  2. Once enrolled, the challenge will populate under ‘My Challenges’ tab. All of the challenge information including dates of the challenge, challenge guidelines & more will be listed.
  3. You will be able to see how many days are left in the challenge, how many components (i.e. workouts, laps, miles) have been completed, and will show a list of those completed components along with any points accrued, if applicable.
  4. You can also click/tap the leaderboard button to see a list of leaders and ranking. 
IF I KNOW WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR, WHAT’S THE QUICKEST WAY TO FIND IT?

The quickest way to find any content that you are seeking is to use the search feature on YMCA360. Click on the magnifying glass in the upper right corner and type in what you are seeking. You can search by program, instructor, or YMCA name/location (i.e., yoga, Michelle, or San Francisco). You can even search using broader terms like sports or fitness.

CAN VIDEOS BE DOWNLOADED TO PLAY OFFLINE?

YMCA360 videos cannot be downloaded. YMCA360 is available wherever you are with an internet connection. 
 

WHAT IS THE REPLAY ICON NEXT TO SOME OF THE LIVESTREAMING VIDEOS?

This icon indicates the video is a replay of a recent Livestreamed class. We know that you may not be able to make the Livestreaming at the time they are live so we have added additional times this video is available so you don’t have to worry about missing your favorite class!
